We will read the story in both Amharic and English to learn some new vocab in addition to making paper crafts! Materials Required - If materials are required for class participation please list. * A craft packet, containing templates and coloring pages emailed upon registration- helpful to print. 1-2 sheets of plain or construction paper Colored pencils/crayons/markers Scissors and glue If unable to print or don't have scissors/glue, there are various activities that can easily be done on paper and many are easily adaptable for use with other materials. Upon completion of the activity, participants will be able to... 1. Listen to a reading of "The Happiest Herder" in both English and Amharic 2. Learn Amharic words from the story 3. Complete crafts with themes from the book
